• The total duration of this tour is 5 nights and 6 days.

• The state of Nagaland is best visited from November to May. The weather is perfect, with cool winds blowing from the Himalayan foothills to reduce heat and humidity.

• The local permits required will be arranged by our vendor partner. However a valid Id proof & address proof, the booking voucher along with your declaration form is required.

• In case of extreme bad weather, government restriction or political disturbance, if any activity is cancelled; then the operator will suggest the best possible alternative. However, a cash refund is not applicable. In case of a change in itinerary due to weather, any additional expenses must be borne by the traveler.

• AMS or Acute Mountain Sickness is caused by the quick exposure to low oxygen levels at high altitude. Symptoms of AMS include nausea, fatigue, rapid heart rate and headache to name a few.
• In case of any symptoms, please inform your tour marshal immediately, if there is any discomfort and oxygen levels drop, Backup oxygen cylinder is provided as an immediate relief and the customer is taken to the nearest hospital and moved to a lower altitude region. Once the doctor certifies that you are fit to travel, you can resume the trip or you will be advised to travel back home.

• Any changes in your schedule pertaining to airlines or transportation will result in a change in the entire itinerary. The operator will suggest the best alternative possible in this case. However, a refund for any missed inclusions will not be provided and any extra cost incurred to rearrange the itinerary will be borne by the traveler.

With the pickup facility provided with the Hornbill Festival Package after you arrive at the airport, head towards the city of Dimapur. Enjoy the surroundings and the cultural environment of this region on this exciting trip. 

Before entering the Hornbill Festival Nagaland, devote some time in the evening to touring and shopping at local markets. The market, offering an array of souvenirs, has great postcards and gifts worth taking home to your family and friends. Rest overnight at a comfortable homestay booked for you.

On Day 2 of this itinerary, expect nothing but excitement and fun! Stroll through the bustling handicraft stalls at the festival, interact with local artisans if you like, and savour Naga delicacies. 

Participate in workshops on indigenous crafts and try your hand at weaving, pottery, or bamboo crafts, all while learning about the rich heritage of the region. As the sun begins to set, witness the Naga fire-making competition– a mesmerising spectacle of skill and tradition. 

Wake up and get ready to experience yet another day of thrill, magic, and fun. Take a walk and visit tribal huts that showcase the region’s unique customs. Engage in interesting tribal activities like the Kohima Heritage Walk to enjoy the lovely offerings of the region.

After a 3-hour trek, enjoy a delicious lunch and admire the valley untouched by civilization. Spend time in nature surrounded by hills, caves, and rocks. Explore the immaculate beauty of the emerald-green rolling hills as the sun slowly sets. Dine at a place of your choice and camp for the night in Nagaland’s Valley of Flowers. 

Waking up to the serene beauty of Dzukou Valley is pure joy! You can explore the surroundings on a thrilling trek and capture little moments of delight in your camera. 

After the trek, you will return to Kigwema and continue your journey back to Kohima. Here, you can unwind at your accommodation in Kohima. You may also explore the town and pick up some souvenirs in the evening.

On the final day of your Nagaland excursion, your stay in Kohima concludes. From here, we head back to Dimapur. Your guide will ensure you arrive at Dimapur Airport or Dimapur Railway Station in time for your flight or train’s departure, marking the end of your remarkable journey through Nagaland.
