• Your day starts with boating on the beautiful Periyar Lake. Enjoy the picturesque view amidst the wilderness of the Periyar hills, watching birds and mountains all around. Our next adventure on our itinerary is a thrilling thirty-minute-long elephant ride. It provides a unique experience of exploring the Periyar lake and its surroundings and a chance to spot the exquisite wildlife of the area.
• After the ride, enjoy a traditional Kathakali dance show, specifically arranged for you. Kathakali is one of the eight Indian classical dances and originates in Kerala. The mixture of expressive storytelling, elaborate costumes and makeup, and rhythmic mudras can’t be missed when staying in Kerala.
• Lastly, enjoy a Kalaripayattu show, a martial arts spectacle in Kerala. Try understanding the philosophy and values embedded in the art form. The agility and fluidity of the performers using diverse weapons will leave you amazed.

• Your second day begins with an exhilarating open jeep safari to Sathram Jungle. The viewpoints throughout the journey are breathtaking. In the jungle, experience the aromatic cardamom plantations and immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity.

• After a wild start to the day, dig in for some delicious breakfast. Preferably, a local Kerala breakfast is the best food to savour when in the Keralian jungles.

• After breakfast, set off to explore the Parunthumpara Hill Station and enjoy the serene meadows and rolling hills. It is a peaceful and offbeat location around the Periyar hills, providing picturesque panoramic mountain views. Next, we will take you to the Kuttikkanam Hill Station where you can savour the local Kerala delicacy at lunch.

• Lastly, go ahead and explore the serene yet majestic Vagamon Hill Station. Vagamon is also called the Scotland of South India due to its green meadows, lush pine forests, and towering waterfalls. It is the best place to end the Periyar Hills trip.
