When you reach Manali, we will arrange a delicious packed lunch for you, followed by an introduction of the trek by our guides! They’ll brief you about the trek and you’ll get the chance to clear your doubts and seek answers to any questions you might have. The trek from Manali to Chikka is simply marvellous. Enjoy the changing scenery that shows you multiple picturesque landscapes and explore the hidden beauty of Kullu Valley. The trail offers some stunning views of the mountains, including Hanuman Tibba and the Seven Sisters peak. The trek takes approximately 2-4 hours. Once you reach the campsite in Chikka, you can relax in your camp after a long day. Delicious, piping hot dinner will be served later in the evening that you can enjoy sitting under an endlessly beautiful star-lit sky.

Wake up to the colourful views and pleasant vibes of Chikka Valley! Look around, soak in the beauty, and take a deep breath as what you’re about to witness next is magical! After a filling breakfast and tea at the campsite, get ready for the next phase of this adventure. The agenda for Day 2 is to cover a distance of 9 km from Chikka to Balu Ka Ghera, which will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. The journey might seem slightly exhausting, but it will be one of the most enriching travel experiences you can have. The rivers you’re going to cross are the highlight of this trek—the chilly rivers will give you an amazing backdrop for your Instagram photos! After many hours of adventure and crossing challenging trails, you’ll reach a fantastic, not-so-crowded area at Balu Ka Ghera, your campsite. Get into your tent at the camp and maybe take a nap before dinner. End your day with stargazing and get ready for another adventurous day.

Day 3 will be the most challenging yet most enthusiastic day of your trek. The trek from Balu ka Gera to Shia Goru via Hampta Pass will take you around 9 hours, while the remaining distance on this trek will be 5 km. The climb to Hampta Pass, the trail which you’ve been waiting for, is finally the next step in your journey! The climb is moderately steep and unfolds into a flat descent further toward Shia Goru. After an hour of walking by the river, you’ll see that you’ve left the river far below! The grass you will be walking upon from here will be covered in small, colourful flowers. No wonder this trekking trail is called the ‘Valley of Flowers’ of Himachal Pradesh. The climb gets more intense as you proceed, and after reaching the first plateau, you’ll see the Deo Tibba peak, one of the highest Himalayan peaks. From here, you’ll finally begin the climb to Hampta Pass and trek downward to Shia Goru. The path to Shia Goru is comparatively easy and you’ll reach your destination without any trouble. Once you reach, check in to your camp and treat yourself to a nice dinner.

This part of your journey will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to cover before you finally hit the road again for your drive. After you reach Chatru, you’ll be asked to drop your luggage in your assigned tents, and from here, you’ll begin your journey toward the majestic Chandratal Lake. Once you reach Chandratal Lake (or the ‘Moon Lake’ due to its crescent shape), you’ll notice a change in scenery and see picturesque landscapes, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including wildflowers and marmots. After this, you’ll head back to Chatru, and you’ll check in at your designated camps. Chatru offers a great camping site and makes the overnight stay quite mesmerising. Rest after a delicious dinner and prepare to say goodbye to these landscapes the next day!

You’ll be leaving at 8 am from Chatru after a filling breakfast and head to the base camp in Manali. Now is your time to relax and sit back for 5 long hours and enjoy the charismatic views of the mountains. The further we go, the more beautiful it gets. The views may be beautiful, but the roads here are bumpy and dusty, so buckle up real tight and enjoy the adventurous jeep ride. This is where your beautiful journey ends, but take a moment to save all your Manali travel experiences in your mind and heart forever.
